    As an “upcycling” brand, WATALIS reworks vintage kimono fabric and markets it as amenities and fashion products. Women living in Watari-cho (the southern part of Miyagi Prefecture in Japan) carefully tailor-make these products one by one to enhance the kimono fabric’s beautiful colors and patterns.

    Vintage kimonos sleeping in chests and drawers are revived and given a completely new life of beauty, championing the good, old Japanese culture (while giving us a means to take care of our belongings right to the very end).
